OUR BEGINNING
Where It All Began
Kauren River Camp was established in 2015 out of a vision to create a space where comfort and environmental responsibility could coexist. Founders Mrs. Fama Njie and Mr. Daouda Niang saw the potential of Kaur as a gateway to Central Gambia’s rich wildlife, culture, and natural beauty.
What began as a modest eco-lodge has grown into a fully equipped camp offering air-conditioned rooms, dining, and guided experiences — all while maintaining deep respect for the environment and the local communities that make this region so special.
